Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Wu Yisheng achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2006. In the Fine Modern and Contemporary Chinese Paintings auction, the work Peacocks sold for HKD 84,000.00 (€ 8,145.99) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Wu Yisheng; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Peacocks sold at auction in May 2008 with the realized price of HKD 112,500.00 (€ 9,261.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wu Yisheng erzielte im November 2006 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Modern and Contemporary Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Peacocks für HKD 84.000,00 (€ 8.145,99) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Wu Yisheng; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Peacocks im Mai 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 112.500,00 (€ 9.261,73).
