The work Butterflies by Wu Yisheng was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019. It achieved a price of HKD 27,500.00 (€ 3,147.37), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wu Yisheng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Peacocks, which sold at auction in May 2008 for HKD 112,500.00 (€ 9,261.73).

Die Arbeit Butterflies von Wu Yisheng wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 27.500,00 (€ 3.147,37) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38%. Für andere Arbeiten von Wu Yisheng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Peacocks beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für HKD 112.500,00 (€ 9.261,73) versteigert wurde.
