Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lychee by Wu Yisheng was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2021. It changed hands for a price of HKD 10,625.00 (€ 1,123.14) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 6,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wu Yisheng have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Peacocks in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 112,500.00 (€ 9,261.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lychee von Wu Yisheng kam im Mai 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 10.625,00 (€ 1.123,14) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 6.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wu Yisheng auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Peacocks im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 112.500,00 (€ 9.261,73).
