Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Sun Guoting’S Essay In Cursive Script by Wu Rangzhi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 23,750.00 (€ 2,602.13) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Rangzhi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Caoshu in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,125,000.00 (€ 130,017.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sun Guoting’S Essay In Cursive Script von Wu Rangzhi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 23.750,00 (€ 2.602,13) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Rangzhi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Caoshu im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.125.000,00 (€ 130.017,02).
