Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu by Wu Rangzhi was sold in the Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy from the Yong Li Studio auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. The price achieved of HKD 93,750.00 (€ 10,562.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Rangzhi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Caoshu in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,125,000.00 (€ 130,017.02).
