Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Wu Rangzhi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Clerical Script Calligraphy sold for HKD 163,800.00 (€ 19,629.05) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wu Rangzhi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy In Caoshu in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,125,000.00 (€ 130,017.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wu Rangzhi erzielte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Clerical Script Calligraphy für HKD 163.800,00 (€ 19.629,05) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wu Rangzhi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Caoshu im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.125.000,00 (€ 130.017,02).
