The work Ink Orchid by Wu Rangzhi was sold in the Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2018. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 25,960.00 (€ 2,923.13), 30% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Rangzhi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Caoshu in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,125,000.00 (€ 130,017.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 30 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Ink Orchid von Wu Rangzhi wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 25.960,00 (€ 2.923,13) und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Rangzhi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Caoshu im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.125.000,00 (€ 130.017,02).
