Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Ancient Pine By The Cascade by Wu Rangzhi. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 400,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 403,200.00 (€ 43,168.88). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wu Rangzhi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy In Caoshu, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 1,125,000.00 (€ 130,017.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ancient Pine By The Cascade von Wu Rangzhi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 400.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 403.200,00 (€ 43.168,88) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Wu Rangzhi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy In Caoshu beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 1.125.000,00 (€ 130.017,02) versteigert wurde.
