This artwork by Wu Rangzhi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Calligraphy In Zhuanshu sold for HKD 375,000.00 (€ 43,339.01) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wu Rangzhi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy In Caoshu, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 1,125,000.00 (€ 130,017.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wu Rangzhi erzielte im April 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy In Zhuanshu für HKD 375.000,00 (€ 43.339,01) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wu Rangzhi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy In Caoshu beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 1.125.000,00 (€ 130.017,02) versteigert wurde.
