In May 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Landscape With Teepee And Indians by Worthington Whittredge. The »bidding war« ended at USD 200,000.00 (€ 181,917.41), 67% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Worthington Whittredge; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Pine Cone Gatherers sold at auction in November 2016 with the realized price of USD 360,500.00 (€ 340,801.66).

Im Mai 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape With Teepee And Indians von Worthington Whittredge zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 200.000,00 (€ 181.917,41) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Worthington Whittredge; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Pine Cone Gatherers im November 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 360.500,00 (€ 340.801,66).
