In the American Works of Art auction, the work Brook in the Woods sold for USD 9,562.50 (€ 9,774.61) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Worthington Whittredge achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Pine Cone Gatherers in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 360,500.00 (€ 340,801.66).
