Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ohne Titel by Wolfgang Laib was sold in the Post-War And Contemporary First Open auction at Christies in New York in April 2008. The price achieved of USD 15,000.00 (€ 9,635.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wolfgang Laib achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Milkstone in December 2016 with an auction result of EUR 112,500.00.

Die Arbeit Ohne Titel von Wolfgang Laib wurde im April 2008 in der Auktion Post-War And Contemporary First Open bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 9.635,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wolfgang Laib erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Milkstone im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 112.500,00.
