Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Bird Series #29 And Bird Series #35: Two Drawings by Win Knowlton for USD 688.00 (€ 441.93). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Win Knowlton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled; together with a companion work by another hand, which sold at auction in August 2017 for USD 1,125.00 (€ 947.13).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Bird Series #29 And Bird Series #35: Two Drawings von Win Knowlton für USD 688,00 (€ 441,93) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Win Knowlton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled; together with a companion work by another hand beobachtet, die im August 2017 für USD 1.125,00 (€ 947,13) versteigert wurde.
