Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Doge's Palace from the Piazzetta; The R.I.B.A. Bulding, Portland Place; The Rotunda, Vicenza; Parliament Square, Edinburgh; Holyrood Palace, Edinburgh; and one other by William Walcot was sold in the British, Continental & Russian Pictures auction at Christies in London in October 2007. The price achieved of GBP 525.00 (€ 753.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Walcot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Etruscan Temple Of Jupiter Capitolinus in March 2008 with an auction result of GBP 26,900.00 (€ 33,793.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Doge's Palace from the Piazzetta; The R.I.B.A.
