Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nahant Rocks by William Stanley Haseltine was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2019. The price achieved of USD 162,500.00 (€ 149,014.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Stanley Haseltine - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rocks at Narragansett, which sold at auction in May 2007 for USD 600,000.00 (€ 445,997.18).
