Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Stanley Haseltine could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in April 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction, the work New England Coast changed hands for USD 625.00 (€ 474.64) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Stanley Haseltine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rocks at Narragansett in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 600,000.00 (€ 445,997.18).
