This price was achieved in the auction American Art Online at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Stanley Haseltine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rocks at Narragansett in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 600,000.00 (€ 445,997.18).
