In the 19th Century American & Western Art auction, the work Off Newport, Rhode Island sold for USD 52,920.00 (€ 46,250.66) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Stanley Haseltine have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rocks at Narragansett in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 600,000.00 (€ 445,997.18).

Dieses Kunstwerk von William Stanley Haseltine erzielte im Januar 2024 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century American & Western Art wurde die Arbeit Off Newport, Rhode Island für USD 52.920,00 (€ 46.250,66) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Stanley Haseltine auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rocks at Narragansett im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 600.000,00 (€ 445.997,18).
