Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Mt. Etna From Taormina by William Stanley Haseltine for USD 18,750.00 (€ 17,193.95). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Stanley Haseltine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rocks at Narragansett in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 600,000.00 (€ 445,997.18).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Mt. Etna From Taormina von William Stanley Haseltine für USD 18.750,00 (€ 17.193,95) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Stanley Haseltine erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rocks at Narragansett im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 600.000,00 (€ 445.997,18).
