The work Australian Feeding The Chooks by William Robinson was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2009. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 60,000.00 (€ 35,275.18), 71% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Robinson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Landscape With Sunset And Self Portrait in May 2007 with an auction result of AUD 696,000.00 (€ 427,957.48).

Die Arbeit Australian Feeding The Chooks von William Robinson wurde im August 2009 in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Sothebys in Melbourne versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 60.000,00 (€ 35.275,18) und damit 71% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Robinson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian Landscape With Sunset And Self Portrait im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 696.000,00 (€ 427.957,48).
