Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Australian Seascape With Surfboard by William Robinson for AUD 57,600.00 (€ 29,702.98). This price was achieved in the auction Important Australian Art at Sothebys in Melbourne and was even below the estimate range of AUD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Robinson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Landscape With Sunset And Self Portrait in May 2007 with an auction result of AUD 696,000.00 (€ 427,957.48).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Australian Seascape With Surfboard von William Robinson für AUD 57.600,00 (€ 29.702,98) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Sothebys in Melbourne erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Robinson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian Landscape With Sunset And Self Portrait im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 696.000,00 (€ 427.957,48).
