Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian Dawn And Crimson Rosellas by William Robinson was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Sothebys in Sydney in November 2007. The price achieved of AUD 36,000.00 (€ 21,686.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Robinson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Landscape With Sunset And Self Portrait in May 2007 with an auction result of AUD 696,000.00 (€ 427,957.48).
