This artwork by William Robinson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2009. In the Important Australian Art auction, the work Australian Cow At Birkdale Farm sold for AUD 36,000.00 (€ 21,165.11) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Robinson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Landscape With Sunset And Self Portrait in May 2007 with an auction result of AUD 696,000.00 (€ 427,957.48).

Dieses Kunstwerk von William Robinson erzielte im August 2009 bei Sothebys in Melbourne einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Australian Art wurde die Arbeit Australian Cow At Birkdale Farm für AUD 36.000,00 (€ 21.165,11) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von AUD 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Robinson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian Landscape With Sunset And Self Portrait im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 696.000,00 (€ 427.957,48).
