Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Noon by William McTaggart was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2019. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,157.15) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by William McTaggart have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Past And The Present in August 2008 with an auction result of GBP 133,250.00 (€ 165,234.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Noon von William McTaggart kam im September 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.157,15) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William McTaggart auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Past And The Present im August 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 133.250,00 (€ 165.234,00).
