Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Crail harbour by William McTaggart was auctioned at Bonhams in May this year. The price achieved of GBP 956.25 (€ 1,112.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William McTaggart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Past And The Present in August 2008 with an auction result of GBP 133,250.00 (€ 165,234.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Crail harbour von William McTaggart kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 956,25 (€ 1.112,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William McTaggart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Past And The Present im August 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 133.250,00 (€ 165.234,00).
