Auction result well in line with expectations
The work "On the Esk" by William McTaggart was auctioned at Bonhams in Edinburgh in May 2021. The price achieved of GBP 25,250.00 (€ 29,378.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by William McTaggart have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Past And The Present in August 2008 with an auction result of GBP 133,250.00 (€ 165,234.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit "On the Esk" von William McTaggart kam im Mai 2021 bei Bonhams in Edinburgh zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.250,00 (€ 29.378,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William McTaggart auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Past And The Present im August 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 133.250,00 (€ 165.234,00).
