Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Children on the shore by William McTaggart was auctioned at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October last year. It achieved a price of GBP 4,845.00 (€ 5,644.37), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William McTaggart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Past And The Present in August 2008 with an auction result of GBP 133,250.00 (€ 165,234.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Children on the shore von William McTaggart kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Edinburgh zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 4.845,00 (€ 5.644,37) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 21%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William McTaggart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Past And The Present im August 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 133.250,00 (€ 165.234,00).
