Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by William McTaggart achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Paris in October this year. In the Scottish Art auction, the work The Fish Girl sold for GBP 1,664.00 (€ 1,910.73) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William McTaggart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Past And The Present in August 2008 with an auction result of GBP 133,250.00 (€ 165,234.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von William McTaggart erzielte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Scottish Art wurde die Arbeit The Fish Girl für GBP 1.664,00 (€ 1.910,73) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William McTaggart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Past And The Present im August 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 133.250,00 (€ 165.234,00).
