Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study of Porcelain by William Blamire Young was sold in the AUSTRALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS auction at Christies in Melbourne in May 2001. The price achieved of AUD 2,350.00 (€ 1,408.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Blamire Young achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work VIIth Australian Light Horse Victorian Mounted Rifles, 1904; B. Battery. Royal Australian Field Artillery, 1904 in September 2010 with an auction result of GBP 49,250.00 (€ 56,962.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Study of Porcelain von William Blamire Young wurde im Mai 2001 in der Auktion AUSTRALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS bei Christies in Melbourne versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 2.350,00 (€ 1.408,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Blamire Young erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit VIIth Australian Light Horse Victorian Mounted Rifles, 1904; B. Battery.
