Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian Dream Castle by William Blamire Young was sold in the Important Australian Art Including Selected International Works auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2007. The price achieved of AUD 4,560.00 (€ 2,726.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Blamire Young achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work VIIth Australian Light Horse Victorian Mounted Rifles, 1904; B. Battery. Royal Australian Field Artillery, 1904 in September 2010 with an auction result of GBP 49,250.00 (€ 56,962.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Australian Dream Castle von William Blamire Young wurde im August 2007 in der Auktion Important Australian Art Including Selected International Works bei Sothebys in Melbourne versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 4.560,00 (€ 2.726,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Blamire Young erzielen.
