In April this year Bonhams held the auction The Fred and Elinor Wrobel CollectionA Curated Salon, which included the work Nude by William Blamire Young. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 5,904.00 (€ 3,538.66), 48% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Blamire Young achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work VIIth Australian Light Horse Victorian Mounted Rifles, 1904; B. Battery. Royal Australian Field Artillery, 1904 in September 2010 with an auction result of GBP 49,250.00 (€ 56,962.85).

Im April diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion The Fred and Elinor Wrobel CollectionA Curated Salon durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nude von William Blamire Young zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 5.904,00 (€ 3.538,66) und damit 48% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Blamire Young erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit VIIth Australian Light Horse Victorian Mounted Rifles, 1904; B. Battery.
