Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2008 Sothebys in Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Australian the Flower Market by William Blamire Young. The price achieved of AUD 3,600.00 (€ 2,101.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Blamire Young achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work VIIth Australian Light Horse Victorian Mounted Rifles, 1904; B. Battery. Royal Australian Field Artillery, 1904 in September 2010 with an auction result of GBP 49,250.00 (€ 56,962.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2008 führte Sothebys in Melbourne die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Australian the Flower Market von William Blamire Young zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 3.600,00 (€ 2.101,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Blamire Young erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit VIIth Australian Light Horse Victorian Mounted Rifles, 1904; B. Battery.
