It achieved a price of AUD 10,157.50 (€ 6,243.87), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 27%. Admittedly, works by William Blamire Young have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work VIIth Australian Light Horse Victorian Mounted Rifles, 1904; B. Battery. Royal Australian Field Artillery, 1904 in September 2010 with an auction result of GBP 49,250.00 (€ 56,962.85).

Die Arbeit Moonlight Revels von William Blamire Young wurde im Mai 2005 in der Auktion PAINTINGS FROM THE JOSEPH BROWN COLLECTION bei Christies in Melbourne versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von AUD 10.157,50 (€ 6.243,87) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 27%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Blamire Young auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit VIIth Australian Light Horse Victorian Mounted Rifles, 1904; B.
