In the Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations auction, the work Oudenaarde: a view of the tower Oudenaarde sold for EUR 4,750.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Willem Alexander Knip - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View of the Prins Hendrikkade with the St. Nicolaaskerk beyond, Amsterdam, which sold at auction in September 2012 for EUR 11,250.00.
