Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of EUR 4,375.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 3,500.00 – 4,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Willem Alexander Knip - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View of the Prins Hendrikkade with the St. Nicolaaskerk beyond, Amsterdam, which sold at auction in September 2012 for EUR 11,250.00.
