Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dutch Springtime, Laren by Willem Alexander Knip was sold in the 19th Century European Paintings auction at Sothebys in Amsterdam in October 2008. The price achieved of EUR 5,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Willem Alexander Knip - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View of the Prins Hendrikkade with the St. Nicolaaskerk beyond, Amsterdam, which sold at auction in September 2012 for EUR 11,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dutch Springtime, Laren von Willem Alexander Knip wurde im Oktober 2008 in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Willem Alexander Knip mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit View of the Prins Hendrikkade with the St. Nicolaaskerk beyond, Amsterdam beobachtet, die im September 2012 für EUR 11.250,00 versteigert wurde.
