The result of USD 150,000.00 (€ 132,368.51) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Willard Leroy Metcalf - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work October Festival, which sold at auction in May 2014 for USD 545,000.00 (€ 399,560.12).

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 150.000,00 (€ 132.368,51) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Willard Leroy Metcalf mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit October Festival beobachtet, die im Mai 2014 für USD 545.000,00 (€ 399.560,12) versteigert wurde.
