The result of USD 150,000.00 (€ 132,368.51) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Willard Leroy Metcalf - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work October Festival, which sold at auction in May 2014 for USD 545,000.00 (€ 399,560.12).
