In the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction, the work A Seaside Pasture sold for USD 269,000.00 (€ 193,943.76) - well above the upper estimate of USD 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Willard Leroy Metcalf - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work October Festival, which sold at auction in May 2014 for USD 545,000.00 (€ 399,560.12).
