Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2000 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction TWENTIETH CENTURY ART, which included the work Abstract composition by Will Leewens. Here, the upper estimate of NLG 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for NLG 5,265.90 (€ 2,247.04). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Will Leewens - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still life, which sold at auction in December 2002 for EUR 5,019.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2000 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Abstract composition von Will Leewens zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von NLG 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für NLG 5.265,90 (€ 2.247,04) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Will Leewens mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still life beobachtet, die im Dezember 2002 für EUR 5.019,00 versteigert wurde.
