This artwork by Will Leewens achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2011. In the Nineteen to Now, Art from the 19th, 20th and the 21st Centuries auction, the work without title sold for EUR 3,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Will Leewens; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Still life sold at auction in December 2002 with the realized price of EUR 5,019.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Will Leewens erzielte im März 2011 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Nineteen to Now, Art from the 19th, 20th and the 21st Centuries wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für EUR 3.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Will Leewens; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Still life im Dezember 2002 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 5.019,00.
