This artwork by Will Leewens achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2009. In the Nineteen to Now - 'Art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries' auction, the work Echo Van Ruimte sold for EUR 4,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Will Leewens; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Still life sold at auction in December 2002 with the realized price of EUR 5,019.00.

In der Auktion Nineteen to Now - 'Art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries' wurde die Arbeit Echo Van Ruimte für EUR 4.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 2.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Will Leewens; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Still life im Dezember 2002 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 5.019,00.
