Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2012 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, incl. Topographical Observations, which included this untitled work by Will Leewens. It changed hands for a price of EUR 1,875.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Will Leewens - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still life, which sold at auction in December 2002 for EUR 5,019.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2012 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now, incl. Topographical Observations durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Will Leewens zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 1.875,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Will Leewens mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still life beobachtet, die im Dezember 2002 für EUR 5.019,00 versteigert wurde.
