Sold at the upper estimate price
This work without title by Will Leewens was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2011. The auction ended at the price of EUR 1,500.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Will Leewens - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still life, which sold at auction in December 2002 for EUR 5,019.00.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Will Leewens kam im März 2011 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 1.500,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Will Leewens mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still life beobachtet, die im Dezember 2002 für EUR 5.019,00 versteigert wurde.
