Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Wilhelmina Barns-Graham achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in April last year. In the Prints and Multiples auction, the work Six Lines sold for GBP 1,402.50 (€ 1,672.43) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wilhelmina Barns-Graham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Glacier (Bone) in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 106,250.00 (€ 125,364.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wilhelmina Barns-Graham erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints and Multiples wurde die Arbeit Six Lines für GBP 1.402,50 (€ 1.672,43) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wilhelmina Barns-Graham erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Glacier (Bone) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 106.250,00 (€ 125.364,55).
