It achieved a price of GBP 1,785.00 (€ 2,129.13), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 49%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wilhelmina Barns-Graham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Glacier (Bone) in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 106,250.00 (€ 125,364.55).

Die Arbeit Scorpio 1 von Wilhelmina Barns-Graham wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.785,00 (€ 2.129,13) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 49%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wilhelmina Barns-Graham erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Glacier (Bone) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 106.250,00 (€ 125.364,55).
