Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September this year Bonhams in London held the auction Blazing a TrailModern British Women, which included the work Dancing Squares by Wilhelmina Barns-Graham. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 12,160.00 (€ 12,160.00). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wilhelmina Barns-Graham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Glacier (Bone) in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 106,250.00 (€ 125,364.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Blazing a TrailModern British Women durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dancing Squares von Wilhelmina Barns-Graham zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 12.160,00 (€ 12.160,00) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wilhelmina Barns-Graham erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Glacier (Bone) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 106.250,00 (€ 125.364,55).
