The work Kodak Black by Wilhelm Sasnal was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in September 2021. The »bidding war« ended at USD 69,300.00 (€ 59,860.07), 39% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Wilhelm Sasnal have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Airplanes in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 396,000.00 (€ 294,358.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 39 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Kodak Black von Wilhelm Sasnal wurde im September 2021 in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 69.300,00 (€ 59.860,07) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wilhelm Sasnal auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Airplanes im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 396.000,00 (€ 294.358,14).
