Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Head Of A Cat by Wenceslaus Hollar. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,295.00 (€ 2,670.26). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wenceslaus Hollar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Old St. Paul'S Cathedral, London, Seen From The East in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 75,650.00 (€ 90,960.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Head Of A Cat von Wenceslaus Hollar zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.295,00 (€ 2.670,26) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wenceslaus Hollar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Old St. Paul'S Cathedral, London, Seen From The East im Juli 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 75.650,00 (€ 90.960,60).
