Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wenceslaus Hollar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Old St. Paul'S Cathedral, London, Seen From The East in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 75,650.00 (€ 90,960.60).

Die Arbeit Head of a Cat (Pennington 2109) von Wenceslaus Hollar wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Old Master Prints including Property from the Collection of the Late Walter L. Strauss bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 6.048,00 (€ 6.756,16) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 51%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wenceslaus Hollar erzielen.
