The work Untitled (Stage) by Wang Xingwei was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. It achieved a price of HKD 1,638,000.00 (€ 194,465.75), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 37%. Admittedly, works by Wang Xingwei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Blind in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 9,400,000.00 (€ 967,757.38).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 37 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Stage) von Wang Xingwei kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 1.638.000,00 (€ 194.465,75) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 37%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Xingwei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Blind im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.400.000,00 (€ 967.757,38).
